David + Andrea

The vintage feel of today’s wedding has me wanting to tuck into a cup of tea on the Pacific coast and meander through the image gallery. With September less than 24 hours away, I’m so ready for fall that I can hardly contain myself, and today’s wedding is just what I needed. David and Andrea went all out with their DIY projects – creating the favors, burlap flags, and branch centerpieces. It’s a great extension of their sweet Anne of Green Gables inspired proposal story, a video story of which can be found here. David and Andrea took a trip to Canada and the groom surprised his love with stops at the author’s home, as well as locations from the book and movie. All in all, a wonderful and soothing transition to the weekend.

Lauren + Nathan

Lauren and Nathan’s destination DIY wedding is so clean, fresh, and simple. The couple is from California, but held their wedding celebration in New York’s Hudson Valley. The centerpieces were created by Lauren, who shipped the fruit for the decor from her own lemon tree at home. She also baked her own wedding cake (lemon, of course) with her mother and grandmother for the reception. The couple’s outdoor wedding and indoor hotel reception is so refreshing and crisp; a perfect showcase for a white palette with lemon accents.

Aimee + Chris

I’m so in love with today’s couple. Aimee and Chris not only had a beautiful wedding, full of handmade touches by the bride, but what really gets me is how they look exactly¬†like what you imagine every newlywed couple should look on their wedding day. Happy, in love, full of faith in their relationship and appreciation for the day and their friends and family. Y’all, they are glowing.¬†Aimee created the butterfly ball for the flower girl, jarred apples for favors, and even had a hand in the design of her cake. All in all, a gorgeous wedding and beautiful day for a fabulous couple.

Luke + Laura

The wedding of Luke + Laura is rustic central. I’m in a fit of swooning over the soft palette, the lighting through the slats in the barn during the ceremony, and the low-key lantern release during the reception. The entire wedding was designed and pulled together by the couple, their family, and friends – they even brought in church pews for the ceremony in the barn!

Tiffani + Adam

Charming and sweet is how I would describe today’s Real Wedding. Tiffani and Adam had a wonderful outdoor wedding, and built their day from the ground up. The couple created and collected all the decor for the tables, a friend catered the entire shindig, and Adam and Tiffani crafted their own wedding rings.
