Our editorial team loves styled shoots (“staged” weddings for those of you new to the weddingsphere) because we get to see a wide range of fantasy wedding styles from talented vendors around the globe. They’re all about showcasing wonderfully creative details and are designed 100% for your inspiration. LOVE!
This one, submitted by Faith Cherisse Photography, is a study in opposites and it works well. The abundance of gilded details set in a very rustic and almost austere location is so modern and on-trend. It also goes to show that any location can be transformed with beautiful details and putting the focus on key elements like a great cake table or lush floral arrangements.
As Faith puts it,
I had the pleasure of organizing my 1st Stylized Wedding Shoot. I had so much fun planning this shoot, working with vendors that so graciously gave their time and added their artistic touch to make this shoot even more beautiful than I envisioned. I love it when my vision is brought to life, thanks to all the talented people involved.
I love styled shoots because they’re creative bite-sized bits of inspiration for you guys. This shoot, courtesy of Kate Noelle Photography, combines vintage white elements with brilliant orchid and gold accents to make a perfect spring wedding shoot.
White lace curtains were overlaid with gold glitter bunting in the background and the tablesscape is draped with elegant iridescent gold and champagne linens. The floral arrangements add a springy pop of color to the neutrals and metallics.
We’re featuring a super lovey-dovey winter styled shoot that’s not only romantic and sweet, but knitted-themed. Brought to us by Warmphoto, this styled shoot/e-session was shot in Russia earlier this year. With the main color palette full of browns + pinks and lots of vintage items and knitted and woven lovelies (from Miss Woolly), this shoot was not short on lots of warmth and sizzling fuzzy feelings from Elizabeth and Vladimir.
“There was a decorated area in the park with large coils, tangles, knitted accessories and vintage items, hot tea, candles, birds, baskets with pine cones. It was comfortable and stylish! Nearly the whole decor was created manually by talented decorator Funt of Happy.

We’re featuring a super gorgeous wedding styled shoot today. Brought to you by the talents behind Frenzel Studios, this Navajo-inspired concept shoot is not only glamorous and rustic, but will also make you fall in love with the Southwest charms.
Gosh, what don’t I love about this styled shoot. The big fiery red bridal bouquet, gold-dipped feathers, the bride’s hair and jewelry that flow so well with the theme, the gorgeous fondant cake, chocolate-dipped churros, hanging dreamcatchers, the big spacious barn decked out in lights, and the oh-so-pretty invitation suite. Seriously, there were some amazing work in place here!
Thank you Frenzel Studios and the awesome vendors involved in this styled shoot for bringing us such gorgeous inspiration! I hope all you lovely DIY brides/grooms will be able to find some inspiration here!
Our feature styled shoot this weekend comes from Midview Studios and a few of the awesome vendors from Sonora, California. The photographers wanted to do a snow-filled shoot, and their vision came to life by teaming up with the talented team from Save the Date Events & Planning. With the snowy backdrop, their bride and groom models had no problem steaming up the shoot for the camera, donning dark hues of red and purple.
From the bride model’s makeup to the gorgeous bouquet by Mountain Laurel Florist, this snowy styled shoot is elegant, sexy and romantic, and gives me a bit of mysterious flair to it. Perhaps it’s the awesome decor, or simply the way Midview Studios shoot the pictures, we can all agree this style shoot is fabulous and dreamy (love the chandelier!). Lastly, CornerSpace Cake and Cafe, can I have one of your super delicious looking cupcakes??
Great job to all the vendors who worked on this styled shoot!!
We featured a fun Real Weddings a couple of days ago where the clever bride crafted a superhero themed get-ready room for the groom and groomsmen. Today, I’m featuring a styled shoot chuck full of great ideas for any Superman lovers out there OR for anyone with red and blue as their main colors. This Superman-inspired styled shoot that the photographer Christine Picheca and wedding planner/stylist Dawn Fillion are sharing with us today called it their “Super Love” shoot. They, along with their talented team of vendors in Ontario, Canada, want to showcase that a couple can be creative, fun, and whimsical, and keep it classy and elegant all the way. They have SO much details going on, I LOVE it!
Where do I begin? SO MUCH DETAIL! The invitation suite is fun and looks like it came straight out of the comics. I absolutely adore the centerpieces of blue hydrangea and red roses. The florist did an incredible job of somehow creating these centerpieces without looking like they’re celebrating Independence Day. Hydrangea and roses are ubiquitous in weddings and these particular types wouldn’t make any budget conscious brides cringe.
We’re bringing you another magical styled shoot from Samantha Bonpensiero Photography today. She stunned us again with her vision of a glamorous wedding without all the bling. In this styled shoot, it is ALL about the delicate details… the petite desserts, the white-lace fingerless gloves, the chandeliers, textured flowers, and the unexpected pampas grass (dyed lavender)… will make any girl feel like a princess getting married in her private English garden.
The breathtaking centerpiece and matching bouquet are filled with all sorts of soft pastel colors and textures. Notice the centerpiece is hung by small chandeliers? I can totally just picture how it lights up the table as the day gets darker. Multi-colored hydrangea at the base of the vase adds more color and texture to this English garden on the table.
From the photographer:
“At one point or another every girl wants to be a princess. For some, that point is their wedding day and this styled shoot is a little glimpse into a tasteful (rhinestone-less) way to feel like royalty on your big day. Delicate details like dripping chandeliers, cut crystal, simple china, colored depression glass, and satin & sheer ribbons brought out the sophistication for this scene. Playful desserts, highly textural pastel flowers, and an incredibly lovely rose garden lighten the seriousness of being a princess. Our favorite flowers of the day were a toss up between the giant pampas grass (dyed lavender), graceful ballerina-like tulips, and luscious multicolored hydrangeas. Our royal garden affair menu was a mix of petite treats and elegantly decorated (albeit faux) cakes. Above All Catering also helped set us up with Signature Party Rentals who provided us with the beautiful table linens as well as a giant round table that fit perfectly into the center of the rose garden. Our model Taylor was a perfectly regal bride, with her sassy attitude, hair piled high with jewels and curls. She was dripping with jewels and two decadent dresses – one in pale pink complete with tulle and floral details and one in a rich and heavy silky satin with a gorgeous lace up back and tiny jewels.”
Sometimes wedding vendors need to scratch their creative itch too. And when they do; Oh, the magic they make!!! This super, natural inspiration shoot from Samantha Bonpensiero Photography is like an intimate, ethereal wedding dream full of texture and soft colors that reaches every last sense and leaves you aching for more.
From the photographer:
We chose natural elements like wood, various mosses, textured pottery and slate to set the tone at the table. Succulents, & protea helped amp up the texture level while keeping the color palette subdued. We didn’t limit sensory experience of the tablescape to visual texture though. The contrast of the rough natural elements with smooth colorless glass dishes & a slick Primordial Martini (white chocolate & hazelnut liqueurs with vodka) brings a sense of sophistication to the scene.
Pretty and yummy right? Well it doesn’t stop at the delish signature cocktail idea, the “geodes” on the plates are a scrumptious combo of solid vanilla sugar crystals coated in white chocolate, and dusted in mixed sugars with a hint of sea salt. Every last detail from primitive pained rocks to wild wire around the hurricanes yields an awesomely modern and earthy vibe.
I don’t know about you, but anytime you combine protea, sig-cocktails, and chocolate rocks you can color me inspired! Thank you to Samantha Bonpensiero Photography and the team that created this divine shoot.
I’m a little obsessed with his e-sesh. So perfectly styled by bride-to-be Jessica and beautifully photographed by White Willow Photography, this shoot oozes with so much romance, intimacy, and warmth it’s hard to imagine that Jessica and Adam braved such a chilly& rainy day. Luckily, White Willow Photography is a master at capturing all the warm and fuzzies that come from the inside.
Thanks White Willow Photography for this perfectly styled picnic session! Congratulations Jessica and Adam! We hope you have a wonderful November wedding and that you’ll share it with us too!
So let’s talk styled shoots for a minute here. A fictional wedding, for a fictional couple, full of amazing little details that are the brainchild of some uber talented vendors; of they’re going to be beautiful! But this one!? Oh my! It’s more like a bohemian 70’s Americana love child born in the summer but inspirational all year round. With j.woodbery photography behind the lens, this pretend wedding was made more perfect by the fact that “models,” Brandy + Peter, got engaged the night before the shoot! Toss this one into my fanfic favorites for sure!
From the photographer:
The inspiration for this shoot came to me when I drove past a fireworks trailer painted as an American flag. I immediately knew I wanted to do a shoot that was Americana themed with a 70’s twist. I knew that Brandy and Peter were the perfect couple to play bride and groom as soon as we started planning! Funny enough, Peter proposed to Brandy the night before the shoot. It added an extra boost of magic the whole time we were shooting, imagining that it was their actual wedding
!
Magical for sure. The hair! The dress! The make up! The flowers! The whole boho-American vibe! Just color me patriotic, because red, white and blue have never looked good! This shoot has me both longing for summer and yearning to attend a red, white and blue beauty like this in real life! Thank you j.woodberry and team for creating this stunner! And a big congratulations to Brandy and Peter!
