Boutonnieres are frequently overlooked in the grand scope of a wedding. After all, it’s a little adornment that doesn’t often get much love on the wedding day. Luckily that’s been on trend to change, as couples use it as another way to use what could be seen as an insignificant bit of fancy more creatively. Take the wedding of Geneveive and Phil – they used pine cones to create her bouquet and his matching boutonnieres, and they look absolutely fabulous. Pine cones could also be found mingling with cranberries on the reception tables as well as sheet music since the bride and groom are musicians. They even sang a “first duet” during the reception – “Two of Us,” by the Beatles, and had their first dance to “Across the Universe.”

Love her boot and her special bouquet!
That cake is amazing. And singing a duet? Hats off to them!
Love her boutonnieres! I made mine for my wedding; each guy got a little fabric flower lapel pin. I loved them!
