In the last few months, I’ve seen my fair share of inspiring DIY weddings. All of our DIY couples never cease to amaze me with the wonderful personal spins and creative ways they elevate their weddings to stand out from the crowd. I think about the only thing I haven’t seen, is a taxidermy photo booth and a bar in a boat. That is, until today. Nikki Ritcher Photography has shared Ingrid and Ben’s wonderful woodsy Wisconsin wedding that took place on the bride’s childhood backyard, and boy does it scream eclectic elegance!
Ingrid had always dreamed of her wedding being held on her family’s property. And when you see the gorgeous greenery surrounding this dapper duo, I’m sure you will find it hard to disagree. With more than a yearlong of prep for this eclectic event, Ingrid, Ben, and their families perfectly used all kinds of rustic lovely with vintage goodness and whimsical personal touches. From birch to balsa, the bucolic grounds were perfectly offset with rustic touches while the bridesmaids’ dresses are the perfect accompaniment to the woodsy surroundings and the perfectly mismatched vintage dinner ware.

From getting ready at a friends family cabin across the lake, to the sparklers that lit up the night sky at the end of the night… every step of their wedding day was personalized for their love, while welcoming the families together.
