Karen and Kevin’s wedding has food trucks and the most adorable flower dog, so I’m just over the moon about their adorable dog (say hello to sweet Lulu’s face!) and fabulous DIY details.
From their photographer, Bea Ahbeck: Kevin and Karen poured all their creative juices together for personal touches incorporating their interests into their wedding theme. The bride’s father made the handmade signs in distressed wood directing the guests to the different areas of the venue, and another sign displayed the cities the couple was going to visit during their honeymoon. Big foodies, they had a unique approach to the food, and had two of the best food trucks in the Bay Area serve their guests their favorite meals.
On the trees hung hand-made photo displays of the happy couple together.
For her bridesmaids, Karen knitted matching shawls, and the groomsmen’s ties and pocket squares were hand painted. Instead of a flower girl they had their dog Lulu be a flower dog, and she walked Kevin down the aisle. Karen wanted Lulu’s outfit to match the bridesmaids, so she ordered a custom “little black dress” from etsy.com and she hand knit a mini shawl for her.
When the couple first met they discovered their shared love for the music game Rock Band, so instead of a first dance they shared a first song with their guests, who were afterwards invited up to sign songs with the happy couple.
The cake was a large home made cupcake with accompanying cake topper featuring the couple and their flower dog Lulu.

Oh my goodness…could this wedding BE any cuter?! It’s so obvious how happy they are to be married, and I’m really digging the relaxed feel of the whole ordeal, without forgoing the traditional white gown and tux vibe. So “geeky chic”, with beautiful blue accents (those shawls and ties), the fun food truck that TOTALLY takes away the stress of planning the food, and the joy and support in all the faces around them. They make a beautiful couple.
