I know they aren’t for everybody, but I really adore seeing the photos of a couple’s first look. You can feel the anticipation and the excitement, and the pictures are just so sweet. Not only did Mary and Rick do a first look before their ceremony, but it allowed the photographers more time to get portraits of the couple and their wedding’s details. With only a few vendors, the wedding was almost completely DIY – Mary and her mother grew and assembled the flowers for the wedding, made jam for favors, created all the desserts, sewed all the linens for the tables, and sourced all the antiques used for decor. Rick also contributed to the favors by pulling inspiration from where he grew up – Hershey, PA, also known as the “Sweetest Place on Earth.”
