Meaghan + Jay’s Summertime Harbor Wedding

Meaghan and Jay held their beautiful summertime wedding on Thompson Island in Massachusetts, complete with sunflowers and lobsters!  They even made personalized lobster bibs for their guests and used the lobster motif on a lot of their wedding details.  This was a true New England wedding in the middle of Boston Harbor! (Imagine me saying that in my bad fake Boston accent.)

There was so much DIY in this wedding, I hardly know where to start.  Aside from the lobster bibs, their table markers, place cards, and burlap table runners were all handmade.  The bride’s makeup was done by her maid of honor (you can see a picture with their Sephora makeup guide below!), and the bride’s brother played guitar during their ceremony. Their wedding favors were very personalized – the bride is a dermatologist, so guests received mini lavender shea butters with DIY labels, and the groom is a scientist who loves to cook as a hobby, so guests also received little test tubes filled with DIY herbed salts!

After the sun went down, the path to the reception tent was lined with mason jars filled with electronic fireflies and decorated with flowers and a tulle bow.

Congrats Jay and Meaghan!
