Jaimee + Diego

I don’t know what it’s been about this week, but we have been all over the brightly colored weddings and today is no exception. The wedding of Jaimee and Diego is not only bright, but sweet and intimate and currently tugging on my heartstrings. They are just such a great couple, and Jaimee’s mother showcased their love by completely overhauling her backyard to create a great DIY wedding day.

Jolie + Greg

Happy Friday to all my lovely DIYers! Today we have the wedding of Jolie and Greg, a charming couple who planned their wedding on a sharp timeline from another state. Since Greg is in the military, they had to coordinate their wedding around his training schedule. What I love the most about this wedding is the Albert Einstein touches all over the reception. Greg proposed in front of the Einstein statue in Washington, D.C. and they were sure to incorporate him into the decor. All the flowers, boutonnieres, place cards, guestbook, and decor were DIY created by the couple and their families, and they even had a close friend officiate the romantic outdoor ceremony.

Caleb + Charlynn

Ahhhhh, love. It may be the hold-over of warm fuzzies from Valentine’s Day last week, but I’m feeling rather romantic today. Which is fitting, because the couple and wedding we’ve lined up for you on this lovely Tuesday are romance personified.

Charlynn and Caleb had a stunning outdoor ceremony and reception that honored their love for each other as well as Caleb’s career with the Air Force. What stunned me especially was how the couple pulled off a patriotic red, white, and blue color scheme without going overboard – it’s a very hard line to walk and come out on the enchanting side. They used bird and airplane accents throughout the decor with aplomb, and mixed patterns to create a rustic feel.

Sarah + Josh

Josh and Sarah are a military couple who had a great time designing and creating the elements of their wedding. They were married in an outdoor ceremony complete with bright flowers, mustaches and parasols for photos. The right props can definitely put a funky twist on a formal photo – a great choice  for an offbeat, fun couple.
