Bianca + Rosie’s Peacock Wedding

For Bianca and Rosie’s summer wedding in Washington, DC, they handcrafted most of their items that made their day oh-so-special. The couple’s small, super intimate affair was big on capturing their love for each other, and of course, their DIY talents. Their photographer Holly Graciano did a superb job of catching all the little private moments Bianca and Rosie had throughout the day that really would make anyone smile.

Bianca and Rosie DIY most of the details: The bouquet, boutonnieres, hair pieces, programs, hand-embossed cards, gift bags, “bride” and “wifey” lettering on the robes, and the “love” box that they locked during the ceremony. The box, containing letters written to each other as well as a bottle of wine, is to be open on their first anniversary.

From the photographer:

“They had their emotional first look at The DuPont Circle Hotel, followed by an afternoon ceremony at Chelsea Gardens that was officiated by Tiffany Newman. Because their wedding was such an intimate affair without attendants, we had lots of time for photos at Meridian Hill, before meeting their guests for dinner at Lincoln restaurant.”
Wondering what the finger mustaches were about? They were temporary ‘stache tattoo that everyone wore on their fingers in honor of the real tattoo that Bianca wears on her finger. How cool!

Molly + Rodrigo’s Elegant Purple Wedding

Trust me when I tell you that today’s wedding is nothing short of perfection.  I just seriously can’t stop staring at this fabulous flamenco inspired fete!  Infused with pops of bright color, this pretty purple palette has combined all things elegant with the lovingly captured photography from Sarah at Ampersand Photography.  Molly + Rodrigo’s wedding just blends all things intimate, elegant, cultural, and just down right BE-YOU-TI-FUL so perfectly, you simply have to find some Monday morning downtime to  stop and stare yourselves.

Molly + Rodrigo were not only lucky enough to have some seriously amazing vendors within their reach the DC area, they also had one heck of planner/ coordinotor/ decorator right in the family.  Rodrigo’s sister Ana was the mastermind  behind the amazing floral gorgeousness and the decor of the day.  This is truly one of the most elegant candy bars I’ve ever seen!  When you add in this dreamy location, a couple that looks like movie stars, and an Uh-Maz-Ing  BHLDN gown, just stick a fork in me ‘cuz I’m done.  (Preferably one of the forks of off the super elegant purple and gilded place settings, please.)

What a lovely job Ana did designing this dazzling wedding!  A super big thanks to Ampersand Photography for sharing it with us!  Congratulations Molly + Rodrigo!

Emma + Bobby’s Elegant Winter Wedding

Now that spring is in full bloom in the North East, I do the happy dance every morning when deciding which swing sets my two year old and I will go visit.   But when I saw this wedding form Emily Clack Photography, I did a little winter jig for my favorite frenemy season.  I might have a love/hate relationship with winter, but winter weddings I simply love!   Emma and Bobby’s wintery wedding is so full of just the right amounts of cool DIY and hot Gatsby-ish style that it will give you chills and warm your heart at the same time!

I am fascinated by all the pretty paper work in this wedding.  It’s almost too hard for even me to believe that these steal worthy laser cut, dip-dyed, and embossed invites are handmade.  The beautiful book-page blooms complimented Emma’s beyond dazzling dress while setting the tone for the cool grey color palette of the day complete with cozy fur stoles. Oh! And the place cards!  Pack my bags and call me Sally, these just made me giggle with giddiness!

Before I go on and on about everything I love form Emma and Bobby’s elegant affair,  just  two more words: Krispy Kreme.   I would highly recommend snuggling up to all of these amazing images from Emily Clack Photography.  She, Emma, and Bobby have created a gallery of DIY wedding loveliness that will send you off to a wonderland of vintage travel inspired dreams.  Thank you for sharing this wedding with us.  Congratulations Emma and Bobby!
