All that sunshine I was so pumped up about yesterday? Sadly, it has been replaced with clouds and impending thunderstorms (weather in the Pacific Northwest is so bizarre sometimes) for the rest of the week. However, we have a stunning California beach wedding coming your way today, so all is not lost! One glance at all the red, blue, and sunny goodness is enough to turn any frown upside down.
Lauren and Trevor were married on the beach in Dana Point, and put their own unique DIY spin on a beach wedding. Lauren is a partner in her own design and event coordination company, so she went all out for her wedding. She worked with a designer to create her wedding dress, as well as those of her bridesmaids, which allowed her to incorporate elements of her dress into their gowns. She also crafted her own headpiece, and used reclaimed wood to construct the ceremony for the aisle. Favors for the guests were mugs with chalkboard labels, and Lauren had them double as a seating chart by attaching table numbers to the handles. For centerpieces, Lauren drilled holes in the remaining reclaimed wood and filled them with succulents and flowers.
